How to Cook Great Northern Beans
Soak the Great Northern Beans overnight. Drain and rinse the beans again before cooking. Place the beans in a large cooking pot and cover with a couple inches of water. Cook the beans, covered, over high heat until boiling. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 60 minutes. Season the beans with salt to taste, and allow to cook for an additional 30 minutes, making sure to stir them occasionally. Check for doneness and serve.Read More
