How to Make Gluten-Free Pie Crust
Pour one whole bag of Gluten Free Pie Crust Mix into a food processor. Add 12 Tbs of cold butter and 8 Tbs of shortening. (If you don’t have both butter and shortening, use 20 Tbs of whichever ingredient you have at-hand.) Pulse ingredients 12 times in 1 second intervals. Pour the mixture into a bowl and add 6 Tbs of cold water. Mix until dough forms. Divide dough in half, roll into the shape of a ball and flatten into small disks using a rolling pin. Wrap both halves separately in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least one hour. Mix makes two 9 inch pie crusts.
