How to Cook Rice on the Stove Top
To cook premium rice on the stove top, rinse the rice in water until the water runs clear. Soak in clean water for about 20 minutes prior to steaming (for every cup of rice, use 1 3/4 cups of water). Cover with a lid and bring the water to a boil. Once boiling, immediately turn the heat to low and allow to simmer for 15-20 minutes. Do not remove the lid as the rice cooks. Once the water has been absorbed, remove the pan from the heat and allow to stand for 10 minutes, keeping the lid on. Use a fork to fluff, and serve!

1/3 cup of rice vinegar
1 medium avocado
1 bamboo mat for making sushi
4 sheets of Nori, roasted seaweed
1/4 pound of Imitation Crab Meat
2 tablespoons of roasted sesame seeds, optional
Cook rice as directed above. Transfer cooked rice into large bowl and mix in vinegar; stir gently. Cover and cool to room temperature. Slice avocado lengthwise into thin wedges. Place a sheet of nori on bamboo mat. Spread about 1 cup of rice evenly over 2/3 of the nori. leaving 1/3 of the nori uncovered. Place strips of imitation crab and avocado across center of the rice. Roll the mat lightly by holding it with your thumbs and the ingredients with your fingers. Open the mat right away to adjust the connecting portion of the nori. Wrap with the mat again and press lightly with both hands. Gently, but firmly press bamboo mat to shape the roll. Unroll mat and plate sushi roll aside. Repeat with the remaining ingredients to make 4 rolls. Slice each roll into 8 equal pieces. If you would like sprinkle with sesame seeds on each slice. Serve with one of our soy sauces!
