I've never did like the salami I see in the stores and delis when I was a kid. Why? Too salty and too much black pepper. You can't taste any of the nuances of the salumi you're eating! This salami does have a punch but not too salty. It has almost a floral flavor, too, that is very characteristic of the Italian salumi. I highly recommend this salami, but be careful slicing it! Just a tiny bit more peppery than I want. But then I'm a spicy wimp. Flavor and texture are excellent.Vivian, Charlottesville, VA
