Organic Quick Rolled Oats
All natural organic quick rolled oats are perfect for oatmeal or baking. These are manufactured by dehulling plump organic grown oats and stabilizing the oat enzymes through a steam process. The stabilized groat goes into a roller mill where it is flattened. It is then air dried and cooled.
How to Cook Quick Rolled Oats
Ingredients: 1 cup rolled oats, 2 cups water, 1/4 tsp. salt
Stove top Instructions: To cook, bring water and salt to a boil. Add rolled oats, reduce heat, and cook 5 minutes (depending on the consistency you desire). Stir occasionally. Cover and remove from heat and let stand a few minutes. Serves two people.
Quick Rolled Oats Storage
Store oats in sealed plastic or glass containers in a cool, dry, dark cabinet. Oats will keep for 1 year if stored properly.
Organic quick cooking rolled oats are completely natural and not pre-cooked like instant oats. They are rolled thinner than regular oats, and are best for cookies and other baking.
There are approximately 5 1/2 cups per pound.
