Organic Rice Flour (Brown)
Organic medium grain brown rice is used to make the finest organic brown rice flour. Our rice flour is produced by stone milling. This flour includes the bran layer of the rice which lends to its creamy almond color.
Our rice flour is made on a very fine setting to prevent the flour from tasting gritty-a common complaint about many brown rice flours.
Use in any bread recipe instead of wheat flour.
Quinoa Veggie Burger
Ingredients: Recipe Ingredients: 1 1/2 c Quinoa (cooked), 2/3 c Hummus OR 1/2 cup mashed cooked chickpeas, 2 Tbsp water, 2 tbsp Tomato Paste, 2 tbsp Ground flaxseed meal, 1 tbsp Soy Sauce OR Liquid Aminoa, 1 tsp Dried Basil Leaf, 1/2 tsp Dried Thyme Leaf, 1/2 tsp Ground Cumin Seed, 1 tsp Ground Coriander Seed, 1/2 Tsp Paprika, 1/2 Tsp Garlic Powder, 2 Tbsp Brown Rice Powder or Vital Wheat Gluten, Salt & Pepper to Taste.
Cooking Directions: Heat a non-stick frying pan on medium low. Dry roast the cumin, coriander, paprika and garlic powder, stirring 5 minutes. Blend all ingredients in a bowl or food processor. Divide burger mix into 8 equal portions and form into 3 inch patties. Fry in a little oil on medium heat, 5-10 minutes each side, until browned and firm. To freeze uncooked, place the patties between sheets of wax paper on a baking sheet and freeze. Store in a freezer bag or plastic container and cook as needed (thaw in fridge or microwave).
There are approximately 2 3/4 cups per pound.
