Dried pluots are a blend of half apricot and half plum. They have a lush red color and an even better taste! Sweet like a plum, and soft like an apricot, dried pluots are truly the best of both worlds. Plus, they are packed with fiber, vitamins, and antioxidants, making them an excellent healthy snack option.
Health Benefits of Dried Pluots
Rich in dietary fiber, dried pluots support a healthy digestive system. They are also a rich source of immunity-boosting vitamins A & C, to help prevent colds and illnesses. Vitamin C promotes wound healing, and vitamin A supports eye health by preventing cataracts and reducing the risk for macular degeneration, which is the leading cause of blindness among older adults. Dried pluots are also plentiful in antioxidants, the protective compounds that neutralize harmful free radicals. Research suggests that antioxidants may lower the risk for heart disease and other chronic conditions.
Pluots may also be referred to as apriums and plumcots.

These are my new favorite fruit. Neither the plum nor apricot flavors are overwhelming, just a nice blend of the two. I miss the tanginess of an apricot though so I still get those separately. Very juicy for dried fruit and very satisfying for a snack.
