I made the best boiled peanuts with these. They were in good condition and were nicely sized. Will be buying more as soon as I run out. Here is the way we prepared these outstanding nuts. Per gallon of water, I added 1/2 cup of Kosher salt, 2 Tablespoons of homemade Cyan Pepper (Cyan Peppers dried and ground including seeds) and one Tablespoon of homemade Habanero Pepper (made the same way as the cyan except used Habaneros). Used 2 lbs of the peanuts, bring to boil then simmer for 14 or 15 hours until desired tenderness. You will likely need to add more water, when you do, do not add any more seasonings. The peanuts have a nice kick but not as overwhelming as you might think. I leave leftover peanuts in the seasoned water and put in the fridge. The next day enjoy cold or warm back up. We cannot stop eating them. Very Good!
