Raw pine nuts in the shell are perfect for birds. While these are human grade and can be eaten, please realize that these have an extremely hard and thick shell that is very difficult to crack. We do not necessarily recommend these for human consumption.

Two of my three parrots do not touch them, but they are new, so the birds need time to get used to them. This happens with new toys also. The third parrot LOVES to move them in her mouth as though it is a play toy. I used to give them shelled pine nuts and all my birds love them. Next order I will be able to give an update. They are fresh looking and clean.
