History & Background of Muesli
Muesli or müsli was developed in 1900 by a Swiss German physician named Maximilian Bircher-Benner as a morning meal to serve his hospital patients. The dish is based on rolled or raw oats and typically includes a variety of dried fruits, nuts and seeds. It can be topped with milk, yogurt or non-dairy milks like soy milk. Bircher-Benner was inspired to make the dish by an energy-rich trail mix he and his wife were served while hiking in the Alps. Muesli became popularized as a western breakfast in the 1960s as an interest in vegetarian and plant-based foods spiked.

I was lucky enough to eat Muesli in the Swiss Alps about 30 years ago and loved it, and I thought I'd never find it again. I can't say if this is exactly the same or just as good as that dream Muesli from the past, but I went through 5lbs in a couple of weeks, so it must be close. Nice going guys, thank you.

Tastes just like the muesli I had on a trip to Europe. I have tried many brands trying to find one like I had there and this is the only one that measures up.

Love this cereal, just wish there was fewer raisins in it. It’s pretty overloaded with raisins.
