I made a cute lamb-shaped lemon-flavored cake for Easter and used the chlorella powder to color the "grass" around it. I mixed the chlorella powder with shredded organic coconut (purchased from nuts.com) and some water, and it worked out great! It was the slightly dark green I was looking for to make it look like a usual grass color. It did not taste bad; I am not sure there was much taste from the chlorella, though the coconut could have overpowered it if there was. I bought this product mainly because I figured I could use it as food coloring and it was certified gluten free. I have celiac disease and, admittedly, have become very untrusting of foods that are not certified gluten free or tested to be gluten free. I am not sure about some ingredients in normal food coloring, so I make my own coloring from fruit juice and products like chlorella powder (I actually prefer the added taste from this method of getting food coloring now). I had not been able to figure out a good option for this color green, but the chlorella powder was perfect for the "grass" around my lamb cake!

Don’t love the taste but I do love the health benefits.

This stuff is potent! A little goes a long way, very grassy tasting with a hint of the sea. I use it in our breakfast smoothies which gives them a very green color but the health benefits outweighs the aesthetics.

I use a teaspoon daily to enhance my immune system.

This was a huge disappointment. I was so disheartened because the health benefits are so great but the smell could gag a maggot and the taste was equally repugnant. The whole bag went in the trash. What a waste of a lot of money.

We don't know what happened this time! Last time we ordered Organic Chlorella for the first time and we liked it. It seemed to be beneficial and tasted good. This time we ended up ordering 2, 1 lb bags, we didn't know it has changed. The taste is completely different, it has a smell or taste of goat milk at the end. Almost like eating or drinking goat milk products. My husband gets gas and stomach issues from it. I can't drink it due to the taste. I am surprised because I didn't think it would change completely just when we would order two 1 lb bags. We were really excited to increase our intake of it from the last experience. Now we are totally sad as we ended up ordering two bags. The color of the package is different too, it was orange last time but this time I loved the new green color, however, didn't know that the product also changed completely! I have always trusted Nuts.com and never used to have issues when living in Canada. Here I don't have any issues except for Spirulina and Chlorella powders. Don't know why the quality and taste for these two products have been changing. I wish to be able to continue ordering from Nuts.com and that's why taking out all this time to write a review. I just don't want to give up on nuts.com. I have loved it for years. My family in Canada still orders from Nuts.com.

Hands down the worst chlorella I've tried in 10+ years. My original order from Nuts (non-organic) was THE ABSOLUTE BEST! {Happiness & Joy} My 2nd order was horrid, so I tried this organic chlorella thinking it should be an improvement and it is even worse...if that's possible. The supplier must have had a bad batch. Smells like cat breath / dirty fish tank. I know it's algae, but this is just 100% nasty and inedible. Please get things sorted with your supplier and bring the good stuff back!!

We really like this powder. This is the first time we are trying it. The only problem is that it's really hard to dissolve at times which makes it difficult to drink and makes the taste poor.

Fabulous price! The taste is a little stronger and more organic than from my previous supplier. I am not certain I like the flavor of this Chlorella. I will possibly need some time to get used to it.

Mix it in hot water with the bee pollen powder and drink. Has an earthy grass like taste which I kind of like. The bee pollen is a little bitter to me, so mixing it works fine.

Been buying this since 2014. never had a issue with it. Something has changed. Smell and taste nothing like before. the green tea sort of taste has gone to pond scum fishy taste. hope it was just a bad batch or harvest.. or maybe a better for you batch? just not the same.

I use a variety of herbs for their targetted benefits. After reading about chlorella, I decided to try it. I found chlorella to make a noticeable improvement in my health and well being in very short order. It may have cleaned up my microbiome! I was happily surprised. Highly recommend Organic Chlorella Powder.

Actually I don't love it but that is just because to me it smells like pond scum. But that is the way Chlorella smells. It is the promise of giving my body the nutrition it needs. Not using prescriptions that, may not smell bad but have nasty side effects which Chlorella doesn't have.

This batch was great
