Health Benefits of Sunflower Seeds
A one-ounce serving of sunflower seeds provides a hearty dose of protein and dietary fiber, making it a great snack for satisfying hunger. These seeds are also a naturally rich source of B-complex vitamins, and minerals like vitamin E and selenium, which improve energy levels and boost the immune system. Sunflower seeds contain the most cholesterol-lowering phytosterols among commonly eaten seeds and nuts, according to a 2005 study published in the American Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry.
Snacking on protein-rich sunflower seeds may help lower your blood pressure. Recent research shows that a diet with ample amounts of vegetable protein, such as the protein found in sunflower seeds, may help keep blood pressure down. A diet high in animal protein offered no such benefit in the study. Stock up on sunflower seeds, cashews, and kidney beans to get your fill of blood pressure-lowering veggie protein.

These take me back to when I was a child & my parents had sunflowers growing in our backyard. When ready, they would cut the huge sunflower from the stalk, place it in the oven at a low temperature, then knock the roasted seeds onto a cookie sheet. These brought great memories!

I didn't like them at all. My last purchase of roasted/salted seeds was delicious and were the seeds themselves but these didn't taste good.
