My friends and I are absolutely fascinated with the perfect square holes this foam candy forms, as illustrated in the picture. We are stumped as to how this happens! It seems like it must be a chemical reaction resulting from the candy being made in individual molds? If bitten in the opposite direction from that pictures, it is revealed to be layers and layers of crispy candy, almost as if it were extruded. But HOW do the perfect rectangles develop? It is a mystery for the ages, which will require much more delicious research. Please send more for further investigation. :-)
