Recipe for Salted Pistachio Cookies

Recipe Ingredients:
1/4  cup shortening
1/4  butter or margarine
3/4  cup brown sugar
egg
teaspoon vanilla
1-1/2  cups flour
1/4  teaspoon soda
1/2  teaspoon salt
cup Shelled Pistachios

Cooking Directions:
1.  Preheat oven to 375 F.

2.  Mix shortening, butter, brown sugar, egg and vanilla.

3.  Measure flour and mix with soda and salt; stir into butter mixture.

4.  Coarsely chop pistachio meats and mix into dough.

5.  Drop by spoonfuls 2" apart onto lightly greased baking sheet. Bake 10 to 12 minutes, or until lightly browned.
