The Icarus Foundation’s Chesapeake Parrot Sanctuary is a small 501(c)(3) nonprofit located in Annapolis, Maryland. Our Mission is to protect and prevent the suffering of parrots in captivity by providing rescue and sanctuary to abused, neglected and unwanted companion parrots. All of our residents receive fresh, mostly organic diets daily, certified avian veterinary care, and loads of enrichment including toys, fresh air, sunshine, and the opportunity to fly, and of course, lots and lots of love!

The Icarus Foundation, Inc.’s Chesapeake Parrot Sanctuary is available to the public in an effort to promote responsible ownership and proper parrot care through education and owner support.
