Almond Bonbons

Submitted by: Gladys in Thomasville, Alabama

Recipe Ingredients:
1-1/2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
1/3 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
7 or 8 ounces Almond Paste

Cooking Directions:
1. Beat flour, butter, powdered sugar, milk and vanilla in a large bowl with electric mixer or mix with spoon. (I mix with spoon)

2. Shape almond paste (bought from NUTSONLINE) in small balls about 1 inch or smaller. (I make mine smaller)

3. Take a small ball of dough and wrap around the Almond Paste. Roll gently between hands to form a ball. Place about 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet.

4. Bake in 375 degree oven about 10 to 12 minutes or until bottoms are a bit brown. (Do not let them get real brown) Remove from cookie sheet to cooling rack and cool completely.

5. Put lots of powdered sugar in a container and roll each BonBon in powdered sugar until covered real well, then put in a container with plenty of powdered sugar to store. Cover this container and shake gently before serving. Take out only the amount you want to serve. (Hide the rest as everyone will be looking for the container to retrieve more). Believe me, this is a very addictive BonBon. When you eat a couple you will see just what I mean by me and my family being BonBonholics.

6. Hope you enjoy. You simply must go online and purchase a 7 pound can of Almond Paste from nutsonline.com. You will need it.
