Quick Rolled Oats
Quick rolled oats cook up quickly. They can easily be made in the microwave or on the stove top. Can be used in baking, granola, or any recipe needing oats.
Ingredients: 2 cups water, 1 cup quick rolled oats, salt to taste.
Directions: To cook, bring 2 cups of water to a rolling boil. Add 1 cup oatmeal and salt to taste, then let simmer for 5 minutes.
Perfect for a quick bowl of oatmeal, or for baking. To make oatmeal, they don't even need to be cooked; just put 1/4 c oats in a cereal bowl and pour 1/2 c boiling water over them. Stir and cover with a dish for 5 minutes, and voila, instant oatmeal with no added sugars or chemicals! I stir in a little butter & salt, sometimes raisins or just leave them plain.
