Glucomannan Powder

Glucomannan powder is derived from the roots of the Konjac plant. Glucomannan powder is a soluble fiber that creates a feeling of fullness. It can also be used as a gluten-free thickening agent in food applications.
Usage Recommendations
Mix 1/2 tsp of powder with 8-oz of water and drink approximately 30 minutes before a meal. Drink immediately before it starts to gel.
To use glucomannan powder as a thickener, first whisk it with cold water and then combine it with the other ingredients in your recipe. One teaspoon of glucomannan powder is recommended for thickening one cup of liquid, although you should first experiment with a small amount to obtain desired results. Glucomannan powder is a tasteless and odorless substitute for cornstarch in recipes. You can also try it with smoothies and sauces.
