Looking for a nutritional boost? Meet our all-new Blue Spirulina!
Unlike conventional Spirulina, Blue Spirulina only contains the natural blue pigment derived from blue-green algae. Each serving contains key vitamins, minerals, iron and antioxidants that help support a healthy immune system, improve digestion and metabolism, enhance energy levels and improve cognition.
What is Spirulina and Where Does It Come From?
Our Spirulina is a blue-green algae that is grown in open-channel, shallow, man-made raceway ponds. Spirulina grows in ponds with paddle wheels that move the water, and growers continually add clean, fresh water and nutrients to keep the Spirulina alive. When ready, the Spirulina is harvested with filters, washed in fresh water and then dried by spray drying machines. Our spirulina is non-irradiated and non-GMO.
What Does Blue Spirulina Taste Like?
Compared to Spirulina, which has a smoky, seaweed-like taste, Blue Spirulina boasts an earthy flavor due to the absence of Chlorophyll, the natural compound that gives Spirulina its green color.
How to Take Spirulina
For those new to spirulina, a single serving of is 1-2 teaspoons of the powder. Once you become accustomed to Spirulina in your diet, you can gradually increase the dosage to 1-2 tablespoons daily.
