How to Cook Brown Basmati Rice
Open Pot: Rice should be added to boiling water and cooked for 40 minutes on medium heat. Finally strain and wash in hot water.
Closed Pot: The mixture of water and rice (ratio 1 3/4 measures of water & 1 measure of rice), should be boiled in a heavy based vessel and then cooked for 40 minutes covered with lid on a low heat. Allow 5 minutes for cooling.
Store rice in tightly sealed plastic or glass containers in a cool, dark, dry cabinet for up to 6 months.
