Carob Chips (Sweetened)
The perfect replacement for chocolate, these sweetened carob chips are great in any baked product. Sprinkle on ice cream, in yogurt, on fruit, or in cookie batter for a real treat. Unlike chocolate, carob is naturally caffeine-free. We also carry unsweetened carob chips.
Carob is a legume made from the pods of a Mediterranean evergreen tree. To make these carob drops, the pods are dried, roasted, and ground.
Carob has a sweet and roasted cocoa-like flavor that is more subtle than chocolate. Carob chips are perfect for those with a sensitivity to caffeine because they are naturally free of both caffeine and theobromine, the stimulants present in chocolate. Carob chips add a sweet, cocoa-like taste to granola, cereals, and trail mixes, and they can replace chocolate chips in cookies, pancakes, and baked goods. You can also use both carob and chocolate chips together in recipes for a wonderful combination of cocoa-rich flavors.

It is so hard to find Carob candy these days. This tastes like my childhood. These chips are delicious and I eat them with mixed nuts, or I'll put them in yogurt or chocolate overnight oats. I even put cream cheese on chocolate rice cakes and top them with these carob chips. Yummy yummy. I will continue to order them so I always have them on hand.Lisa, Longview, WA
These are my favorite! I can't eat chocolate, but these are a great substitute. I can tell you I never ordered 5 lbs of chocolate chips before, but I have had repeat 5# orders of these bad boys! I have recommended them to people in one of my FaceBook Groups who have a similar love/hate relationship with chocolate (as in, we love it, but it doesn't love us back).Mary, St Marys, GA
I do not eat chocolate, and I am SO glad you carry carob products!Terry, Casa Grande, AZ
These are a great addition to my dog treats that I make. So good!Christi, Greenwood, AR
