Cherry Nut Brownies

Recipe Ingredients:
1/2 stick Unsalted Butter (2 ounces)
1 cup Sugar
1 Egg
1/4 cup Flour
1/4 cup Dutch Process Cocoa
1 tsp Baking Powder
3/4 cup Glazed Cherries, quartered
3/4 cup Marcona Almonds (chopped)
1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
1/2 tsp Almond Extract
Pinch Salt

Cooking Directions:
1.  Melt butter either in saucepan or in microwave dish together with sugar until butter is liquefied. Cool a bit.

2.  Add sugar. Add egg, no need to beat it - mix well, ad extracts.

3.  Whisk together flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt. Mix only till thoroughly moistened, add cherries and almonds.

4.  Bake at 350 in a greased 8 x 8 pan for 25-30 minutes or less, depending on your oven.

5.  Cool thoroughly before slicing.
