Organic navy beans are also known as pea beans, Yankee beans and Boston beans. These plump, white beans cook to a pleasant, mild taste and a soft texture. Navy beans offer protein, folate, iron and vitamin B1. A classicly American legume, navy beans are used to make Boston baked beans and navy beans soup.
How to Prepare Navy Beans
Boil for a few minutes and then let them soak for an hour off the heat. Drain, add fresh water and continue cooking. Soaked beans will cook in about 60 minutes. Use 3 cups of water for each cup of uncooked beans. You can season the beans by adding bay leaves, herb sprigs, or garlic cloves to the cooking water.

Wowie wow wow, these beans are the absolute best I've ever had. I normally have to soak my beans for 48 hours before baking and then I cross my fingers that they become tender. These beans were already tender after I soaked them for a few hours and it took me by surprise, in a pleasant way. I'm baking them right now, using the brown sugar from you and with a quality molasses and other ingredients that my Mom used for baked beans. The smell in my kitchen is making me incredibly hungry. I'll never order beans from Amazon Canada nor will I get them at the grocery store either because I've found the best. It took a while to get to me (thanks FedEx, hope you enjoyed the first package that's "held up in customs") but it was worth waiting for.
