Delicious and nutritious, natural dried black mulberries are an amazing snack. They are high in vitamin C, iron, calcium, and protein, and are a good source of dietary fiber. These crunchy black mulberries have no additives and pack a natural, sweet taste.
Health Benefits of Black Mulberries
For a fruit, black mulberries have significant levels of protein and iron. The protein content in these super berries makes them particularly filling and satisfying, while iron boosts energy levels by delivering oxygen-rich blood cells throughout the body. Mulberries also provide a good source of dietary fiber in both soluble and insoluble form. Soluble fiber helps to stabilize blood sugar levels, lower LDL “bad” cholesterol levels, and improve nutrient absorption. Insoluble fiber supports a healthy digestive tract.
A serving of dried black mulberries also provides high levels of vitamin C to support a healthy immune system, and calcium to strengthen bones and teeth. They are also chock-full of protective antioxidants. One such class of antioxidants, known as anthocyanins, is known for its anti-cancer and anti-inflammatory properties. Another kind called resveratrol, is the same antioxidant sought after in red wine and peanuts. Resveratrol has been associated with lowering blood pressure and reducing the risk for heart disease.
Enjoy Black Mulberries
Dried black mulberries have a naturally sweet taste that is similar to a cross between goji berries and dried figs. They are a delicious snack to enjoy on their own, and they also make a tasty addition to other foods. Sprinkle them over yogurt or oatmeal for a boost of antioxidants, or add them to trail mix. Black mulberries can also be reconstituted in water to improve their texture for use in smoothies and juices. Try grinding the dried berries and adding them to muffins, cakes, breads, and other baked goods.

Great taste, great texture. Mulberries are one of my favorite berries, tied with blackberries, but thanks to urbanization the wild bushes I used to pick them from have been gone for decades and this is the first time I've seen then for sale anywhere.
