These nutritious dried pears from California not only taste great, but they are also great for you! Luscious dried pears have a mild sweet taste and soft texture. Packed with fiber, vitamins, and antioxidants, they are a nourishing treat and healthy way to satisfy a sweet tooth.
Health Benefits of Dried Pears
Dried pears are an excellent source of dietary fiber in both soluble and insoluble forms. Pears contain a water-soluble fiber known as pectin, which helps to control blood sugar and cholesterol levels by slowing the passage of food from the stomach to the small intestine. They are also high in an insoluble fiber known as cellulose, which promotes normal bowel function.
Rich in vitamins C, E, and B-complex vitamins such as folate, a serving of dried pears really packs a nutritional punch. Vitamins C and E provide immunity-boosting benefits, promote healthy skin and eyes, and also serve as powerful antioxidants in the body. The antioxidant capabilities help to defend cells against free radical damage, which is associated with age-related disease and degeneration. B-complex vitamins such as folate are essential for fetal development, brain function, the development of red blood cells, and more. Dried pears are also a good source of potassium, iron, and copper.
Our Registered Dietitian’s Top Pick
If you are looking for a healthier sweet snack, try dried pears which pack six grams of fiber per serving, along with vitamins C, E, and folate. Folate (and other B-vitamins) are involved in homocysteine metabolism and can help to reduce heart health risk by lowering homocysteine levels. Enjoy chopped up dried pears in hot cereal or trail mix.

The main feature that keeps me ordering these lucious pears is the texture. I have had some that are so dry they are like gnawing on rawhide. Others seem like they haven’t seen the dehydrator. But your product is sweet, not sugary, and tender and moist. My granddaughter, who is seven, thinks they are a real treat! So I got her a bag of her own. Thanks for this high quality product.
