We like to think of our gorp (or GORP) as “gorp plus” because we added in delicious goodies like sunflower seeds, M&Ms and dried cranberries to make it just a little sweeter and energy-rich. Prep for the hike (literal and figurative!) with this satisfying and fortifying forefather of all trail mix.
What is GORP?
GORP is an acronym that stands for “good old raisins and peanuts” which was, according to some, the very first trail mix. Chocolate is traditionally included in most gorp. The Gorp has yet to be tried as I am slowly making my way through other products. I purchased this item based on having enjoyed similar products in the past. Enjoy the different textures and flavors. Might like more in the way of seeds to give more variety in the eating experience.
