Really delicious. Mostly sliced thin and not too leathery. Hard to find organic red persimmons - love these!

not as I expected. these are not very tasty and the texture is not 'densed'. Maybe the type of persimmons is not what I had before from other place

Almost too dried, not soft enough.

Where I grew up we waited all year long for early January when persimmons from Japan would appear in our supermarket. My Mom would set the fruit up on top of the fridge and out of reach of eager little fingers waiting for it to fully ripen. She would it into equal sections when it reached resh fruit pudding consistency of a ripe persimmon. We would eat it with a spoon and scrape every bit off of the skin. Since then, the variety of persimmon that is eaten crisp and is available for a longer season makes it more than twice as fun to enjoy without that astringent tang from the old days. On my first order of these, I wasn't sure what variety I would get. This seems to be the one that is crisp when ripe and sweet with every bite, including the skin. There will be a few with dark patches, I think from exposure to a lot of sun. This is not mold! I am fall over sensitive to mold, and these dark patches have no side effects or difference in delicately sweet, slightly floral flavor or textures. Thanks so much for extra special plus of making this organic version available!

Always great--starting to be a habit! Recently our Japanese neighbors came by to enjoy a Poké Party with us. We had set out various and sundry hors d'oeuvres for everyone, but the thing that grabbed their attention was the dried persimmons: their flavor and their visual beauty. Go figure!

Wish it was skinless

You'd think that these things would last longer, but they seem to disappear very fast once they get into our house. Tender, but chewy fruit "leathers" but actual dried slices of persimmon, a very underrated fruit. (Try this at home: stew a fist full of persimmon in a little wine, add sauteed onion and garlic, a few spices: a no tomato red spaghetti sauce.)

Some of the slices in the bag were tough to chew and bruised. A bit stale. Not the quality I've experienced with this product before.

I don’t know what happened because Nuts used to have the best dried persimmon. The last 3 shipments (yes I’ve given it 3 chances) have been terrible. I would liken it to tasteless chewy cardboard. Such a bummer.

It's often very difficult to find dried persimmons, but these are ALWAYS big, delicious and not leathery!

Your dried persimmons are excellent. We rehydrate them and add them to our morning fruit bowl. They're about as close as you can get to fully ripened fresh persimmons, which sadly are in season each year only briefly in mid- to late autumn.

Adore persimmons and so happy to have found this item at Nuts.com. You can almost use these like chips, with Greek yogurt.

I like to rehydrate them in a hot cup of tea and it's a sweet reward once I finish drinking. Also infuses a hint of the fruit flavor into my beverage.
