They look fresh and nice

An adventure trying these for the first time. Using some of them to make a chestnut zucchini bread. Have not finalized the recipe yet.

Everything is perfect as it always is

Boiled a few added a little natural sweetener to water. Very tasty.

The past many years it has become increasingly harder to find good chestnuts for the holidays. They are usually very dry and rotted inside and small. But, these from Nuts.com were terrific! Just what I remember from growing up even if they are imported. Plump and in good condition. I ordered two pounds on a whim and have no regrets....very pleased. Thank you! I was surprised by the size. Larger than expected. Froze some which I am hoping will preserve them for a later date wanting to have some for the holidays and not be told that you are out of them. Hope to try and order some more close to the Holidays.

Shipping was very quick! The chestnuts are huge as always. I didn't notice any mold. Roasted a bag in the oven once I bit into them, they tasted moldy/musty. I pray that it's just this bag and not the rest. I'm a return customer for about the last 10 years and I can only remember 1 yr where there was issues with mold. And yes, I store them per direction. Nuts.com is still thus far the best place to get fresh chestnuts.

This flour is awesome...There is a learning curve on how to use it when avoiding gluten but I've been experimenting by making muffins, adjusting eggs, adding almond flour but avoiding gluten flour....Chestnut flour adds a natural sweetness to baked goods that other flours don't...The flour smelled and tasted very fresh!

it is not the chestnuts, I have never had them before. First tried to eat one raw - yuk! Then did roast them but it was a lot of work to get them totally out of the shell. They are good - a sweet potato like taste - just too much work for me.

Very best Chestnuts you can buy! Second to none!

They were very good. When we took them out of the refrigerator to roast them it was hard to peel the skin off of them. So we tried to leave them out of the refrigerator to have them dry out a bit, they were so much easier to peel.

Boiled in salted water then broiled for a crispy consistency...Crunchy on the outside, tender on the inside! A suitable substitution for the fresh Chestnuts I crave all the time but are sadly not available all year long...just like Thanksgiving and Christmas, that is what makes them so SPECIAL!

The chestnuts were fresh and are a wonderful family Christmas tradition for me. I highly recommend them. Slit the chestnuts with a pairing knife. Then, bake at 425 degrees for about 18 minutes. Delicious!
