This was the first time I ordered the filberts (Hazel nuts). I'm sure they will be much better raw, which I will order the next time. Something is not quite right with the peanut oil, as if it's stale, used too many times for too long maybe?

That get smaller with each order... crunchy and seems fresher... size really does matter...

These are great this year. They are a good size and the majority were good inside the shell.

I buy these to make homemade hazelnut spread. The fact that they're blanched makes it so much easier. It always comes out tasty.

mix these with other nuts for cereal or grind and make short bread cookies..or just use for a snack.

I like these better than the organic as far as taste is concerned. Had a couple that were rancid/spoiled in the bag. But you can't get 100% in any nut.

I hate to take sides, but this flour is my absolute favorite! (Sorry, other flours.) I first tried it in my chocolate chip cookie recipe. Footnote: I did have to add some regular all-purpose flour to the recipe as well since nut flours have a different consistency. But the end result was great: a cookie that was a bit chewier. So good.

Give them a quick roast and make my own version of Nutella.

What's to say? They are hazelnuts without the shell. I use these for baking; they appear fresh and I expect they will be full of flavor as usual.

The squirrels give the filberts high marks for freshness. The Blue Jays hate the fact that they cannot peck into the nuts. A great success.
