I assume I can blanch them and remove the "husks," unless you think there is some food value there. Thanks for the almonds, too. If I want to toast some of the filberts, do I do it on the stove top? Use these all the time for everything from biscotti to fig jam. Kinda' pricey though.

I've been getting raw macadamia nuts, filberts, Brazil nuts and almonds and making a snack mix for work for years now. Most days I don't have time to have an actual lunch so I just grab a handful of my mix and it takes care of the growling beast in my belly:) And it's super yummy too.

I was so happy to see these! I need them for a broccoli salad recipe & can't find them this time of year. I love hazelnuts!

So here's the deal. I ordered the wrong thing. I hate roasted salted nuts but I cleverly ordered some. But my family enjoyed them. And in the past when I have ordered raw filberts I've loved them. So, I rate them a 5 because Nuts.com is excellent. But I wish I had ordered the right thing.

The only nuts my family eats at Christmas is hazelnuts, and for the last two years we haven't found any at the grocery stores here, so I ordered some from you. These are the BEST hazelnuts we've ever had. They were large and the meat was full and tasty. We had 19 people here for Christmas Eve, and everyone loved the hazelnuts.
