Wonderful flavor. These--or what's left of them--will be going into Christmas baking.

The exact flour we are looking for. Hazelnut flour is a main ingredient in old world Christmas cookies.

I know, from experience, how difficult it is to blanch/strip the skins off hazel nuts; so I'll treat these naked babies like gold. I'm eager to recreate a salad I ate in Vienna, with a round of melted chèvre, on a bed of greens, drizzled with honey and sprinkled with roasted hazelnuts.

I found I am allergic to almonds, and yet often have to cook "paleo." I am not allergic to hazelnuts and found this makes a great tasting substitute! Thank you for having this in your gluten free listings.

I assume I can blanch them and remove the "husks," unless you think there is some food value there. Thanks for the almonds, too. If I want to toast some of the filberts, do I do it on the stove top? There are no better nuts than roasted hazelnuts. We got them today and have been enjoying every one of them. My favorite.

Use these all the time for everything from biscotti to fig jam. Kinda' pricey though.

I've been getting raw macadamia nuts, filberts, Brazil nuts and almonds and making a snack mix for work for years now. Most days I don't have time to have an actual lunch so I just grab a handful of my mix and it takes care of the growling beast in my belly:) And it's super yummy too.

I was so happy to see these! I need them for a broccoli salad recipe & can't find them this time of year. I love hazelnuts!

So here's the deal. I ordered the wrong thing. I hate roasted salted nuts but I cleverly ordered some. But my family enjoyed them. And in the past when I have ordered raw filberts I've loved them. So, I rate them a 5 because Nuts.com is excellent. But I wish I had ordered the right thing.
