These have a thin very sour layer on the outside; however, the moment that first layer is gone, they are sweet like any other candy. I ate a couple and even though I love sour stuff, these were not exactly what I was looking for. I like lemonheads better. The sour taste lasts longer.Ana, Cerritos, CA
