Large Pearl Tapioca:
These were fine as were the procedures from Nuts, Inc. for receiving them. I have let the company know that they are not really what I'd consider "large." The really "large" of my childhood now apparently only exist in the word of the darker "bubble tea" tapioca, so I am going to try them to see if they will work. If anyone is looking for "large" as they were until about 15 years ago--the are not "them," though they are a perfectly good product! I used 'em to make my old fashioned chocolate "Tapioca Balls" for my family reunion--all from scratch--right down to hand-whipping the whipped cream! Tasted fine--just want larger!Ed, Coshocton, OH

Small Pearl Tapioca:
Thank you for having this old-style tapioca. I haven't been able to find small pearl tapioca in grocery stores for years - just the granulated instant stuff that doesn't even come close to resembling what tapioca pudding should be. Guess most people are too lazy to take the time it takes to recreate this great treat from the past! I do, however, prefer to drain off the milk used to cook the tapioca until it is clear and rubbery and then add the tapioca to my own home-cooked vanilla cornstarch pudding. That way, I can enjoy those little rubbery balls in all their glory along with nice, smooth cornstarch pudding, with egg yokes added for the yellow color. Sometimes, I fold in beaten, sweetened egg whites to the hot pudding mixture for a fluffy texture. I don't care to utilize the original milk mixture used to cook the tapioca; to me, it's too grainy and starchy. No matter how you fix it, this pudding is sure to please! Thank you, again!Pam, Athens, GA
