Am a little worried about these. The package is "puffed up". I haven't opened it yet so hope that the dates are OK.

So often when I order Medjool dates—they are either too hard or way too wet—and I often get a significant number of moldy ones. I ordered 2– 15lb boxed dates and wish I had ordered more. The one box was perfect and the second box was SLIGHTLY on the too moist side. And if the 30 lbs, only one date has the black powder in it. Very pleased!!

These are my FAVORITE non-chocolate "candy". They really are nature's perfect candy! Yes, they have that huge pit in the center, but get that out first with one big swipe of the tongue, and you've got a sweet, wonderful mouthful of the best "candy" that grows on trees!

I am accustomed to Medjool dates that are drier and chewier than these. They work very well in yoghurt and oatmeal to sweeten, but messier as a snack.

I am truly sorry to give a bad review, but both types of dates were very dry. The Khadrawi, in fact, were shedding their outer skins which created a good bit of flakes in the pack. Some of them actually crumbled in my mouth rather than being chewy. I'll still be a customer for the hazelnuts I recently purchased. They were excellent.
