Organic Sprouted Buckwheat
Buck up your health with our Organic Sprouted Buckwheat! Surprisingly, this nutritional powerhouse is not a grain, but is actually a fruit seed related to the rhubarb family. That makes buckwheat a fantastic swap for conventional grains like wheat for those sensitive to gluten. Replace it with rice (cooks the same!), or make a delicious bowl of buckwheat porridge with your favorite plant milk, chia seeds and almonds!
How to Cook Organic Sprouted Buckwheat:
Bring three parts water and one part buckwheat to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for one hour and serve.
Sprouted Foods in a Nutshell
New to sprouted foods? Let us plant the seed for ya! In fact, each little granule of this product started out as seeds; think tree nuts, grains or legumes. Unlike the standard seed growing process, sprouted seeds are germinated, which means they’re soaked and rinsed until they grow small tail-like ends. At that point, enzymes within the plant are activated and the sprouted seed reaches its full nutrient potential; meaning it contains more fiber, protein and nutrients than unsprouted plants.
Why Shout For Sprouts:
- Easy to digest
- Packed with easy-to-absorb vitamins, minerals and antioxidants
- Reduces inflammation
- Great for gluten sensitive diets
- Taste just as delicious as unsprouted foods
- Great for snacking, cooking and baking
Ratings & Reviews
Very tasty. I use it for a breakfast porridge. Tastes really good with cinnamon.Eva, Arlington, VA
I bought several of the sprouted grains and mixed them for a sprouted porridge. Delicious....surprisingly sweet without any sugar.Cynthia, Arena, WI
Buckwheat was different than I thought it would be, but not disappointing. The raw berries smell like lettuce of all things. They cook up like tiny little legumes and taste like them too, just a little more mild. Yum.Carolyn, Chatham, NJ
It's so delicious. This is not my first time ordering it.:)Michelle, Oswego, NY
