The beautiful yellow and amber colored fenugreek seed (also known as methi seeds) is commonly used in the preparation of pickles, curry powder and pastes, and many South Asian dishes. Fenugreek seeds have a slightly bitter taste similar to celery, maple syrup or burnt sugar.

This is such a wonderful health product that I planned on grinding it into or using a blended to break it up to put in protein drinks but when I put some in my mouth to taste, the seeds were hard as a rock. I could not put i the blender or the coffee grinder or even attack the with a rolling pin on waxed paper. They are just way to hard for my mouth as they are and won't break down for use in a drink with anything I have. Certainly not your fault, I just could not make them work for me.Sharon, Wayland, MI
