Old-fashioned large pearl tapioca is ideal for making creamy puddings. Finally, you can make the same kind of tapioca pudding that Grandma used to make. Classic tapioca pudding is one of our go-to comfort foods. It may require some attention and care to make, but it’s fun and enjoyable. The end result is worth it every time.

These large pearls are great and I will definitely order again! I have tried various recipes and now use this simple method: Soak 1/2 cup tapioca overnight in about 2 cups water. Drain. Whisk 3 large eggs and 1/2 cup sugar in saucepan. Stir in 3 cups milk (1%, 2%, or whole) and drained tapioca. Cook over high heat, stirring constantly with whisk, until pearls start to float (about 10 minutes). Lower heat to medium and continue stirring constantly until mixture reaches full boil (about 5 minutes). Remove from heat. Add 1 tsp vanilla. Cool. Makes 4 cups of pudding. (Note that I use only 1/2 cup sugar, much less than instructions in the listing.)

These are the tapioca pearls that my Mom used to use for one of her holiday salads. So glad I found them at Nuts.com!
