Japanese Peanuts

auto deliver details are shown in a tooltip

Japanese peanuts aren’t your average, run-of-the-mill snack. They’re whole peanuts coated with an ultra-crunchy shell and flavored with a toasty hint of soy sauce. One taste and you’ll understand why so many of our customers just can’t get enough of these irresistible Japanese peanuts! Packed with six grams of protein, they can add a hearty dose of nutrition to your day.

Japanese Peanuts: A Surprising Origin

Ironically, Japanese-style peanuts originated in Mexico, not Japan. Also known as maní japonés or cacahuates japoneses in Spanish, this snack was invented in 1945 by a Japanese immigrant living in Mexico named Yoshigei Nakatani. To this day, Yoshigei’s addictive peanut creation continues to grow in popularity throughout Mexico and the United States.
