I've had carob in other forms, but never in its whole form. This stuff is great! Slightly sweet, chewy in a fiber-y way, and fun to gnaw on. (But do be careful about the inedible seeds -- they are incredibly hard -- not something you want to bite down on.) I've only just received my first order, but I will definitely be placing another order when my current stash runs low. This product also has a fun novelty appeal. Offer one of these "breads" to a friend as a treat, and they'll look at you in shock, because it looks like something you'd find on the forest floor. Then you can tell them all about the delights of carob (and nuts.com, too, haha!).

These are a staple in my house, year round. I've yet to find a "wrong time of the year" to munch on these!

The quality is great, product is so fresh.

I love chewing on these... what can I say? they are sweet, help digestion, you sure get your dose of fibre.... better than biscotti with my coffee. These pods are plump, have small pockets of syrup and crystallized sweetness.

They don’t grind up very well in smoothies. We will figure it out.

These seeds are mainly for my 13 parrots. I also add them occasionally to my smoothy. We all love them and they are so important for liver health. And when my parrots are happy and healthy, Mama Gaby is happy too.

My 91 year old mom recently told me about St John's Bread - a special treat when she was child. I skeptically ordered 2 pounds for her. She was beyond happy as if transported back in time! ",,,just like when I was a little girl!" Super fresh and very tasty! We are now exploring recipes.

I remember eating this as a kid, and this is one of the only places I can find it. So tasty and not TOO hard/dry.

I grew up with this. Shake it, hear the pits, don't bite there. In total, I've ordered 4 bags. 2 bags were brittle, the other 2, not so. Definitely would buy again. I was surprised at how many there are in a pound bag! Yum Yum

I grind these up in a coffee mill and use them as a breading substitute.

As a child, we had a carob tree in the backyard, and it is one of my favorite snacks to date. These are good, and not too dry, excellent flavor. Yum. Now my mom wants me to order some for her, too.

My birds seem to like it, I bought this many times before, but this time it has a strange smell to it. Not sure what it is. Milk Thistle seeds should not smell at all.

Hard as rocks! Almost broke my teeth on these and my grinder couldn't handle them.

Glad they're available. Never has them before so don't how they compare to others. I have put them on salad and eaten them raw. Raw, they are a bit hard to chew, but good for the health benefits.

Grew up eating Carob tree nuts. When I found out you guys are selling it... wan on 9th heaven :-)

So if you are unfamiliar with this product, be aware! You either will love it or hate it. I grew up eating these pods and love them! There are health benefits for sure, but they also are just fun to snack on. They do have hard seeds (as they are pods) so you take a bite of the pod, and you need to discard the seed then carry on eating until you come to the next seed. Kind of like eating watermelon with seeds. St. John's Bread is Carob... in the natural form before they make powder with it. So it has a smell that is, well, a bit strange, but if you like crunchy, and fiber, you might really like this snack!
