Earl Grey Tea
Earl Grey tea is utterly unmistakeable: an aromatic black tea with its distinctive flavor and aroma imparted by the addition of bergamot oil. (What’s bergamot oil? It’s the oh-so-fragrant extract of the bergamot orange rind, which is also used in many fine perfumes, and in aromatherapy to treat depression.) This cup of tea is invigorating, decidedly refreshing and very English. The leaves are a blend of Ceylon and Indian black teas.

The dry tea's aroma is just right. I definitely do not like an overly perfumey Earl Grey, as many brands are. However, after brewing, the fragrance and taste are almost imperceptible. I don't know if this batch is older, or the recipe has been changed, but I've purchased the same product before and it was more aromatic in the cup. I also must say how disappointed I am that Nuts.com no longer stocks Lapsong Souchong, my ultimate favorite! Nuts.com was one of the few places to find this tea. So sad. :(Christine, Houston, TX

Great distinctive flavor! Brewed beautifully clear. I used lemon but didn't lose the tea flavor. Strong enough to handle milk as well. Very British, I must say. Much better than diapered teas in grocery stores.Avis, El Paso, TX
