I'm only giving 4 stars as I have not used it yet. I did not want to make my own pectin powder for canning jam or use the GMO-loaded products like Sure-gell. I searched for days (literally) trying to find another source that did not cost $55/lb. This is it. So glad to find this and can't wait to use it. I'm done with strawberries but will be harvesting, blueberries, raspberries and blackberries this summer as well as peaches. Nothing better than the taste of home-grown fruit during the cold of winter.

Actually have not used this yet...but am counting on giving it 5 stars :-) I am going to be using both products in my grain-free bread recipes.

I actually bought it to tan a sheepskin but in browsing on line, I was surprised to find that your food-grade alum powder was actually much less expensive than other suppliers I looked at. I have never tanned any skin yet so this first one will be a trial for me. If it works out well, I will be doing all the skins from my lambs this year and in the years to come. If it works, I'll likely buy the biggest size bag next time I order!

Alum is used to mordant fiber during the dying process to keep from getting in a pickle. :) Couldn't be happier with the product or dealing with your superlative business practices. The wife says thanks for the Turkish figs... This won't be our last order...

Best and least expensive source of alum I could find. Shipping got held up due to the weather and UPS. You included a packet of figs, which is really cool. Two coyote wrappers now tanning in the alum/salt mixture. Thanks. Hopefully in future, I will order something more edible and yummy.
